Greenhouse Gardens in Dominican Republic

Everett Rotary Club, Dajabón Rotary Club and Friends of Dominican Republic (DR) have been working together to construct enclosed greenhouse gardens with wrap-around training in agribusiness and entrepreneurship in DR. Bringing in local partners to also support training, technical assistance, lending, and marketing the project has constructed 12 greenhouses of 300 sq. ft. in nine villages to date. Partnering for Peace Highlighted in Worldview
PFP, Friends of Moldova, and the RPCV Alliance for Ukraine were highlighted in the winter issue of NPCA’s Worldview magazine for the collaborative work done to bring a Rotary Disaster Response Grant to Ukrainian Refugees. Take a look here.

Join Peace Corps Week Events
Peace Corps Week 2023 is February 26 to March 4. Celebrated annually, Peace Corps Week commemorates March 1, 1961, the day that President John F. Kennedy established the agency. The celebratory week honors the important ways the Peace Corps fosters connections and contributes to meaningful change – both in the United States and around the world. This year’s theme is “Connect with the World” and Peace Corps HQ and host countries are hosting several virtual sessions. Learn more here.

National Peace Corps Association Advocacy
This year marks NPCA’s 19th annual National Days of Advocacy in Support of the Peace Corps. Throughout March and April, supporters of the Peace Corps are being recruited to conduct local activities to promote the return of volunteers to service, and advance policies to support the new generation of volunteers.
