That’s a wrap! Cheers to a Successful

Rotary-Peace Corps Week 2022

We had a great time celebrating Peace Building on the Ground with the second annual Rotary-Peace Corps Week in September! Thank you to event chair, Erica Brouillette, for the vision and leadership in making the event happen and to Rotary Liaison, Carrie Golden, and Peace Corps Liaison, Ted Adams, for helping promote the event. Help us understand how you engaged in the week by sharing your feedback in this 3 – 5 minute form.

In addition to PFP members promoting the partnership through their Rotary, RPCV, and Peace Center connections, they hosted a 5-day virtual event filled with webinars, Q&As, and online discussions. You’ll find a summary of the event and links to session recordings and resources here.

Have you participated in a project involving Rotary and Peace Corps? Please tell us about it so it can be added to our public resource folder.

Partnering Is So Much More than Projects

The Rotary-Peace Corps partnership is so much more than joint projects. In fact, partnering can be simple and can take many forms. Here’s a printable one-page list of ideas for local and global Rotary members and currently serving and returned Peace Corps volunteers and staff.

PFP Joint Winner of Loret Miller Ruppe Award

We’re honored to have been voted as the joint winners of this year’s Ruppe Award alongside RPCV Alliance for Ukraine (RPCV-AUA) and Friends of Moldova (FoM). Read about the work supporting Ukrainian refugees and learn how you can help.

PFP Needs Your Help!

It takes people behind the scenes to promote partnership activities. PFP is looking for volunteers and board members to share their skills in the promotion of the partnership. We’re especially looking for folks who can help with: marketing, social media, writing, editing, promotions, event planning, project management, graphic design, and more! If you’re open to learning more, email [email protected] for details without a commitment.

Peace Corps Volunteers are Back in the Field!

Two years after all Peace Corps Volunteers were brought home because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they began returning to service overseas in March 2022. In the months since, posts around the world have been busy welcoming back Peace Corps Volunteers and Response Volunteers to work alongside communities. As of August 2022, Volunteers have returned to some two dozen countries with invitations out for Volunteers to return to 51 countries so far. Read all about the return and future plans in NPCA’s Worldview article.
